Mohamed "went into hiding" and canceled an interview with Israeli media amid the backlash, the report cited, adding that "she is fine."
"We speak a lot. I speak the language a little … It was a natural alliance. She is in Morocco and I am Moroccan. So, doing this collaboration is exciting and is the best gift I could receive," Marziano told Channel 12 News.
Marziano also shared that he would like to play for the king of Morocco.
"Sanaa found herself in the midst of a terrible complication in Kuwait," a source familiar with of the matter told the TV station after news of the arrest broke.
"She was arrested because Israel and Kuwait do not have diplomatic relations. She is in trouble now and the estimate is that she will be released eventually and get back to Morocco," the source added.
The music video featuring Mohamed and Elkana Marziano has garnered more than 140,000 views as of Tuesday. The comments below the video are largely supportive, written in Hebrew, English and Arabic.
