The mass funeral was held in clear violation of social distancing guidelines imposed over the pandemic, which has hit the ultra-Orthodox community particularly hard.
Two such funerals were held in the city last week. The police have been unable to prevent them.
Sunday saw the police deploy large forces arrive at the yeshiva building and toured the cemetery and the roads leading to it in an attempt top prevent the masses from gathering, but to no avail, as those seeking to attend the serivce pushed through the police lines and broke through the fences set up.
Bnei Brak's municipal inspectors handed out thousands of masks to the public throughout the funeral procession.
