Israel is very concerned by recent Iranian actions that include but are not limited to increased uranium enrichment, as well as by stronger messages from the Biden administration that it intends to remove US sanctions on Iran and return to the 2015 nuclear deal.
These issues are expected to take up most of the agenda of Sunday's cabinet meeting.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has confirmed that he intends to pay a short visit the Emirati capital of Abu Dhabi, as well as Bahrain, next week to coordinate positions on the Iranian issue as well as iron out a unified line to present to the new American administration.
Diplomatic officials think that Netanyahu will be meeting personally with Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed and King of Bahrain King Hamad bin Isa al-Khalifa.
