The NGO, a volunteer-based emergency medical services organization, hung a massive sign on its building in the capital, reading "Sheldon, the Israeli public cherish your memory."
United Hatzalah founder Eli Beer told Israel Hayom that the gesture "was the way for the organization and its thousands of volunteers to expressed their appreciation and gratitude for Adelson's contribution to Israel's security and the preservation of life.
"The sign stands at the entrance to Jerusalem, the city he loved so much as his final resting place," he said.
