A statue honoring Gen. Qasem Soleimani, the commander of the Quds Force – Iran's elite extraterritorial black-ops arm, was unveiled on Tuesday, marking the one year anniversary of his elimination in a US drone strike in Iraq.

Online publication L'Oreint Today said that the bronze bust was erected on a highway leading to Beirut's airport, south of the capital. The area is considered a stronghold for Iranian-backed Shiite terrorist group Hezbollah.
