Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's defense lawyers on Sunday files a motion with the Jerusalem District Court to dismiss the corruption charges against him in three separate indictments.
The motion argued that the investigations against Netanyahu began before Attorney General Avichai Mendelblit authorized it – a move that allegedly contradicts Basic Law: The Government.

The prime minister's defense team further asked the court to move up the next hearing in the case, currently set for February, and order the prosecution to present the attorney general's order to launch each of the investigations.
Netanyahu faces trial on three corruption charges: bribery, fraud and breach of public trust. He vehemently denies any wrongdoing.
