The verdict by the Romanian Supreme Court overturned the decision by the District Court to acquit Steinmetz and Silberstein.
The two's lawyer, Yuval Sasson, told Israeli media that "the appeal was conducted contrary to law and to the principles of justice, and we intend to appeal to higher European court and have the proceeding annulled, as has happened more than once in relation to rulings of the Romanian courts."
