The Israeli military struck two Hamas sites in the Gaza Strip in the early hours of Sunday morning in response to a rocket that was fired on Saturday from the coastal enclave into Israel, the IDF spokesperson confirmed.
Sirens blared across southern Israel on Saturday night as IDF radars detected incoming rocket fire.
According to the police, a rocket fired by Gaza-base terrorists hit a warehouse on the outskirts of Ashkelon causing significant property damage. Magen David Adom emergency services said that no injuries were reported from the incident.

In a Twitter post, the IDF said in struck two rocket manufacturing sites and several underground infrastructures belonging to the terrorist group that rules Gaza.
In response to a rocket that was fired from Gaza toward Israel earlier tonight, the Israeli Air Force struck Hamas military targets in Gaza including:
2 rocket ammunition manufacturing sites
underground infrastructures
a military compound
We hold Hamas responsible.

There have been several incidents of sporadic rocket fire from Gaza into Israel over the past few weeks, each triggering retaliatory strikes by the IDF.
Most recently, the Israeli Air Force struck Hamas military infrastructure on Nov. 15 following rocket fire at central Israel. Hamas later said that the fire was the result of a system malfunction caused by the stormy weather noted that night.
According to the IDF, the strike targeted several Hamas assets, including "underground infrastructure and military posts."
