The European Broadcasting Union announced Wednesdays that the Eurovision song contest will take place in May 2021 despite the coronavirus pandemic.
The EBU explained that each country will prepare a performance as is usually done every year. However, this year performers will also be required to create a filmed version of the performance and send it in ahead of time in case the competition is disrupted due to government restrictions, quarantines, and other coronavirus-related reasons.

Singer Eden Alene will be representing Israel in 2021. She was supposed to represent Israel in 2020, but the contest was canceled earlier this year due to the outbreak of the virus.
At the beginning of next year, Alene and her team will choose one song that she will sing in front of the whole world at the Eurovision song contest. Israel will participate in the first semi-final of the competition and hopefully, qualify for the final and even win. We are all rooting for Eden.
