A senior Jordanian army officer was airlifted on Wednesday for urgent medical care at the Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem after apparently contracting COVID-19, senior Jordanian sources told Israel Hayom.
The Hadassah Medical Center confirmed "an officer in the Jordanian army was admitted to the medical center for treatment," without elaborating further.

Jordanian sourced familiar with the case told Israel Hayom that a senior officer in the Jordanian was transferred to Israel for medical care following a deterioration in his condition that posed "serious concern for his life."
The nature of the deterioration in his condition was not disclosed.
The officer's identity has remained classified by Israeli officials hedged he is probably a senior officer in the Jordanian General Staff.
The admission to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital was fully coordinated with all relevant health and defense officials.
The hospital said that the officer was now in stable condition, but was not out of danger.
