Assassin Yigal Amir, who murdered Yitzhak Rabin on Nov. 4, 1995, has filed a special petition with the Beersheba District Court, asking the court to instruct the Israel Prisons Service to allow him a special furlough to attend his son's bar mitzvah this coming Friday.
Amir said that if he is not allowed a furlough, he could attend the event accompanied by prison guards.
