The first day of the "International Israel Hayom, Shiloh Forum and Kohelet Forum Conference on the Abraham Accords" included a panel moderated by Israel Hayom's Europe Correspondent and senior columnist Eldad Beck.
Israel Hayom Editor-in-Chief Boaz Bismuth, who has covered the region extensively and visited the Gulf states and Iran in the past, said that the new agreements between Israel and the UAE and Bahrain were "a pact between nations, not just peace among governments." He noted that Israel and the Gulf states were "not just facing the same threats but also share the same values and care for the region, our children and our future."

Saudi television anchor and columnist Sukina Al-Meshekhis said that "the public of the Gulf states began moving away from the climate of the political Islamic groups, and the reforms in the Gulf states created a good environment for the peoples there to accept every peace agreement." She added: "As for the acceptance of Israel in the Arab world, my enemy's enemy is my friend. That's one of the slogans for accepting Israel in the Arab world."
Al-Meshekhis stressed that "you can see that Arabs today are more aware that for generations the Palestinian leadership has preferred not to end the Palestinian-Israeli conflict."
Amjad Taha, a British-Arab researcher and commentator who is the head of the British Middle East Center for Studies and Research said that the Arabs can be divided into three groups. The first are those in the Gulf who understand that the right solution is to choose peace and that the Palestinian people are held hostage by criminals who only want peace; the second group comprises countries that have suffered from anti-Israel propaganda such as Syria – and this group of Arabs has only got destruction and poverty; and the third group comprises the older generations, who are tired and feel deceived.
