The administration of US President Donald Trump is considering sending an Israeli-US delegation to Bahrain to begin the process of establishing normalized bilateral ties following the signing of a declaration to that effect at the White House last month, Israel Hayom has learned.
Since the formal statement that Israel and Bahrain intended to normalize relations, the matter has not progressed.

The White House wants to see practical developments in Israel-Bahrain normalization, and think that a joint delegation to Manama, like the joint Israeli-US delegation to Abu Dhabi after the United Arab Emirates announced it would be normalizing ties with Israel, could help
At this stage, it appears likely that a joint delegation to Bahrain would be headed by US Secretary of the Treasury Steven Mnuchin, because Trump's son-in-law and advisor Jared Kushner is taken up with the final stretch of the presidential campaign.
As of Monday, no date had been set for the visit, but it might take place before the US presidential election on Nov. 3.
