The two lockdowns Israel instated to stop the spread of the COVID virus have done little to cut down on fatal car crashes, with most of the victims being motorcyclists or young drivers, the National Road Safety Authority reported Monday.
August and September 2020 saw more road fatalities than the same months in 2019, the NRSA figures show.

Since the start of the COVID crisis in Israel, more drivers have been caught speeding and tailgating.
The data was collected during the first lockdown from March 15-April 29 of this year, and during the second, ongoing lockdown, from Sept. 18 to Oct. 11.
