Saudi Arabia and Bahrain have agreed to open their airspace to flights east from Israel, senior adviser to the US president Jared Kushner announced on Wednesday.
The development will drastically reduce flight times between Israel and Far East countries.

Last week, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain agreed to allow flights between Israel and the United Arab Emirates to use their airspace.
"They agreed to open their airspace not just to flights from Israel to the United Arab Emirates and back, but to all eastward travel," Kushner said.
"So when people make requests, they'll grant those requests. That will save people a lot of time. That knocks down a barrier that's been up for 72 years, he added.
Following the US-brokered agreement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, a joint US-Israeli delegation flew from Israel to the UAE on Aug. 31 and used Saudi airspace to do so.
Meanwhile, a delegation of officials from the UAE is expected to visit Israel some two weeks from now to continue talks on establishing formal and practical bilateral relations.
The scheduled meetings in Israel will continue the talks that began in Abu Dhabi.
