Several hours after its discovery, municipal workers removed the graffiti and an investigation was launched into the matter.

Vice Chairman of the World Zionist Organization Yaakov Hagoel condemned the incident, saying, "This time, it was only graffiti and not a violent act, but words like this lead to bloodshed. We must stop such incitement here and now, so that it does not manifest into something far worse."
