The Sudanese Foreign Ministry has dismissed spokesman Haidar Badawi al-Sadiq, who said Tuesday his country was interested in normalizing ties with Israel, Arab media reported.
Several hours after Sadiq made his statement, which was welcomed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other Israeli officials, Khartoum denied any rapprochement efforts with the Jewish state, saying Sadiq's remarks did not represent the government's policy on the issue.
