Coronavirus commissioner Professor Ronni Gamzu warned on Tuesday that a nationwide lockdown could be reimposed as a last resort if the community spread does not plateau.
Gamzu spoke to reporters on his plans forward in the ongoing pandemic response, which he has been coordinating since being appointed some two weeks ago.

Gamzu called on Israelis to go get tested if they exhibit symptoms, adding that those who refuse to do so are potential spreaders.
"We urge people to get tested, and we have been working on reducing the window for results to 36 hours; this is supposed to generate trust among the public," he said.
He further warned that there might be "hidden morbidity" that could explain the recent drop in the daily new cases.
As for the possibility of another lockdown being imposed, Gamzu said that the current plan is to have cities deal with the pandemic based on a graduated scale rather than act on a national scale.
