The cargo plane Antonov 225, which fully loaded comes in at around 640 tons, landed Monday evening at Ben-Gurion International Airport. Empty of cargo and gas, the plane weighs 225 tons.
This is the largest plane to have landed on Israeli soil, the first landing being 12 years ago – making it only two visits in total.
Being 90 meters (275 ft.) long, 20 meters (65 ft.) high, and with an 85 meter (278 ft.) wingspan, the vessels dimensions resemble more a soccer field than a traditional aircraft
