A incident involving the apparent killing of a 16-year-old girl in May continued to ripple through Iranian social media.
The decision to release the alleged killer, the girl's uncle, has caused a public outcry on Twitter.
The girl, Fatemeh Ghozat, 16, was beaten and then apparently defenestrated by her uncle Mojtaba Namdar on May 22, authorities said according to Iranian media. She died upon hitting the ground, having fallen 11 floors.
It was unclear what the motives of the uncle were, although it appears that he took revenge on her after she complained of abuse.

The victim's mother, Bariha Rahmani, spoke out on Iranian television this week after Fatemeh's alleged murder was released on bail just two weeks after the incident. "He threw my girl out of the window in front of my eyes, and then placed her body in my hands. He has now been released on bail and walks free. He threatens my son, and tells him, 'It's your turn now!'. I'm afraid for myself and my children.
Relatives insist that Mojtaba Namdar publicly confessed to killing Fatemeh in front witnesses before emergency services arrived at the crime scene. However, Mojtaba has allegedly retracted the confession.
