Some 1,000 demonstrators gathered outside Public Security Minister Amir Ohana's Tel Aviv home on Tuesday evening, protesting what they called his attempts to stifle the protests against the government's mishandling of the coronavirus crisis. Four people were arrested after clashing with the police.
Ohana warned last week that the "atmosphere of hate" in the mass protests held over the past few weeks outside Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's residence in Jerusalem could lead to violence. He also said he believed the Israel Police was showing "unnecessary leniency" toward the protesters.
