American multinational retailer Walmart said Monday that it has banned a couple from its stores for one year after they were seen on video wearing face coverings with swastikas while shopping in one of the chain's locations in Minnesota.
According to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune the video, captured by Walmart customer and posted to social media, shows the swastika-wearing man and woman were seen as they were confronted by other shoppers at the store in Marshall, Minnesota.

"If you vote for Biden, you're going to be living in Nazi Germany, that's what it's going to be like," the woman with the swastika mask said in the video.
The largest retailer in the US, Walmart instated a mandatory face mask directive for shoppers last week.
Delia Garcia, a spokeswoman for Walmart, issued a statement saying, "What happened at our store in Marshall, MN is unacceptable. We strive to provide a safe and comfortable shopping environment for all our customers and will not tolerate any form of discrimination or harassment in any aspect of our business.
"We are asking everyone to wear face coverings when they enter our stores for their safety and the safety of others and it's unfortunate that some individuals have taken this pandemic as an opportunity to create a distressing situation for customers and associates in our store.
"Store management offered the individuals disposable face masks as an alternative, which they refused. The individuals became belligerent and were asked to leave the store by store management," the statement said.
CNN said that local police served the 59-year-old man and 64-year-old woman with trespass notices, warning them they would be arrested if they returned. The two left without incident and charges were not pursued.
