A fire broke out at a facility belonging to the Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company in southwest Iran but was quickly contained, the country's official IRNA news agency reported on Monday, citing a local official.

The fire was caused by an oil leak but did not lead to any casualties or financial damage, Mohsen Beyranvand, the governor of Mahshahr county said, according to IRNA.
Beyranvand described the fire as "minor" and said it was "put out in less than 10 minutes."
Iran's ILNA news agency said the incident began with a fire in eight of the gas tanks at the plant that led to an explosion. Firefighters prevented the fire from causing further explosions, it added.
Contradicting reports in other state-run media outlets, ILNA said the explosion caused extensive damage to the company and to a neighboring company but did not cause casualties.
The IRGC and Iranian police were said to be investigating the incident.
The cause of the incident is under investigation.
This was the latest in a series of explosions plaguing Iranian military, nuclear and industrial facilities since late June.
Iranian officials have claimed most of the cases were accidents, although some reports have claimed that at least some of the incidents involved cyberattacks.
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Seyed Abbas Mousavi warned on Monday that any country that is deemed responsible for these incidents "should expect a strong Iranian retaliation."
