Englman said his office has collected all relevant information on government decisions concerning the management of the COVID-19 crisis over the past two months and held meetings with officials from a range of governing institutions.
In an official letter, Engelman informed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of the imminent review, which is expected to zero in on inter-ministerial cooperation since the start of the pandemic.
The audit will review the decision-making process at the Prime Minister's Office, Defense Minister and Home Front Command, the Health Ministry, Bank of Israel, all major HMOs, and a number of local authorities.
