In an effort to contain the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and limit community spread, this year's scaled-down flyover will see only a small number of aircraft and will not feature the traditional tour-de-force of Israel's aerial capabilities.
Instead of having the flyover take place in key public venues, such as the Tel Aviv beach, the aircraft will only fly over Israeli hospitals, saluting health care workers who have been on the front lines of the battle against COVID-19, the respiratory disease caused by the virus.
