Leah Goldin, the mother of fallen Israel Defense Forces (IDF) soldier Lt. Hadar Goldin, has been fighting to bring son's remains home for a proper burial for six years.
Hamas has been reportedly holding the remains of IDF soldiers Goldin and St.-Sgt. Oron Shaul, who were killed in 2014 during the IDF's Operation Protective Edge.

Hamas is also assumed to be holding on to Israeli citizens Avraham "Avera" Mengistu and Hisham al-Sayed since April 2015.
Goldin told i24NEWS on Thursday that the coronavirus crisis could offer "a window of opportunity" for the return of her son's remains, as well as Oron Shaul and the two other civilians.
"What we are experiencing now is a deep humanitarian crisis. We are all sharing. No matter how bad it is, the whole world is now joining forces and talking the humanitarian language," Goldin said.
Israel's Channel 13 cited a senior Israeli source as saying that "an exceptional and rare opportunity has been created to reach a prisoner deal with Hamas."
According to several Hebrew media reports significant progress has been made on a prisoner exchange deal between Israel and Hamas. Last week, Hamas said they would initiate negotiations on returning al-Sayed and Mengistu, along with the bodies of Shaul and Goldin.
