The office of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan confirmed Sunday that it will be supplying Israel with medical equipment, and that the shipments should arrive "in a few days."
This is apparently part of Turkey's attempt to leverage its role in the global response to the coronavirus pandemic efforts in the hope of shoring up its diplomatic stature.
According to Erdoğan's office, a shipment of medical equipment for the Palestinian Authority would be sent along with the supplies for Israel.

Last week, Bloomberg reported that Turkey had agreed to sell Israel medical supplies, mainly masks, gloves, and other protective gear for medical staff. The report said that three Israeli cargo planes had landed at a Turkish air force base in the south of the country to load the shipment.
"In the next few days, we will be donating medical equipment to the PA," a Turkish official said.
