The Health Ministry on Tuesday night ordered Interior Minister Aryeh Deri and Agriculture Minister Tzachi Hanegbi, as well as MKs Alon Schuster and Ram Ben-Barak to quarantine themselves for 14 days.
The four elected officials took part in a meeting that was also attended by Merhavim Regional Council leader Shai Hajaj, who has announced that he tested positive for the novel coronavirus that has caused a global pandemic.

A Knesset spokesperson announced on Tuesday that Knesset Guard commander Yosef Griff had been informed that the elected officials had been in the vicinity of Hajaj and consulted with Udi Klein, who serves as deputy head of public health in the Health Ministry.
Klein informed Grif that the ministry had been made aware of the matter and that the ministers and MKs had been instructed to enter quarantine.
The meeting with Hajaj took place on Sunday afternoon in a conference room at the Interior Ministry in Jerusalem, in accordance with regulations about maintaining a two-meter distance between participants. On Tuesday, Hajaj tested positive for coronavirus.
Everyone who took part in the meeting has quarantined themselves.
