Could Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah be infected with coronavirus? A veteran journalist in Lebanon is claiming that Nasrallah contracted coronavirus after meeting a delegation of Iranian officials.
Maria Maaloof, a journalist who is well-known in Lebanon for her criticism of Hezbollah, claimed in an Arabic-language post on her Twitter page that Nasrallah, 61, contracted the virus after a meeting this week with a number of high-ranking Iranians.

According to Maaloof, when the delegation returned to Tehran, one of its members was diagnosed with coronavirus.
Hezbollah is keeping all information about Nasrallah's health strictly secret, and the leader almost never appears in public.
Other Lebanese media outlets said Wednesday morning that Nasrallah had not contracted the virus, but had been put under quarantine to prevent any possibility that he might.
On Tuesday, Lebanon had its first known coronavirus death. Thus far, 56 people in Lebanon have contracted coronavirus.
