Shortly after exit polls showed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu emerging as a prohibitive winner in the election, the infighting on the Left began.

A senior Blue and White official told Israel Hayom on Monday night that party leader Benny Gantz, who was the main challenger to Netanyahu, did not do his job properly.
"The campaign was just bad, we were constantly under attack from Netanyahu but we did not fight back," the source lamented. "We were too much above the fray, it cost us the election and we only got aggressive in the last two days."
Another Blue and White source said: "Our sleepy campaign was one big mistake."
Gantz focused his campaign on Netanyahu's corruption trial, which is set to begin later this month, warning that the prime minister was going to use his powers to evade or delay a trial, but this message failed to sway voters.
Gantz sensed the failure and shortly before the exit polls were announced on Monday, cautioned that it would be a "long night."
He later thanked his supporters, tweeting: "Thank you for the thousands of activists and to more than one million voters who chose us; I will continue to fight for what I believe in."
