In most traditional families, it is the mother who sets the tone of the household: What's eaten, vacation destinations and values that drive the household.
It's no surprise then, that Momentum, formerly the Jewish Women's Renaissance Project, has seen tremendous success in tapping into mother's who become enchanted with Israel.

As its website explains, Momentum aims "to empower women to change the world through Jewish values that transform ourselves, our families, and our communities."

These women come to Israel from all corners of the world. From the Former Soviet Union, to Latin America to the United States, these women demonstrate that a love of family and Israel can be universal.
A recent delegation of women went one step further: Momentum partnered with the Israeli-American Council to help connect Jewish women of the Diaspora to born and raised Israeli mothers. Doing so demonstrated that although they may have an ocean separating them, these women share a common bond that can't be ignored.

But since its inception ten years ago, Momentum has brought 20,000 participants from 28 countries to Israel.
The success of these Israel trips where they engage with the country to understand its history, culture and values have yielded results that speak for themselves.

For instance: Some 60% of participants still connect with their original group members; 80% report feeling more connected to their Jewish community back home, and nearly all participants (91%) discuss Israel with friends and family once they return.
