Foreign Minister Israel Katz welcomed Russian President Vladimir Putin at Ben-Gurion International Airport on Thursday morning, saying that the Fifth World Holocaust Forum in Jerusalem was an event that was very symbolic of the special relationship between the two nations.
He praised the valor of the Russian people and the Soviet Red Army's key role in defeating Nazi Germany and liberating the Nazi death camps – including Auschwitz.
