Blue and White will run as an independent list, without any partners, in the March 2 Knesset election, Blue and White leader Benny Gantz told Labor-Gesher leader Amir Peretz and Democratic Union leader Nitzan Horowitz on Wednesday.
"Blue and White is determined to lead a government of change and hope, see a clear decision in the upcoming election, and become the largest party in the Knesset," Gantz said.

Gantz went on to say that he had met with Horowitz and Peretz earlier and "made it clear" to both of them that "Blue and White would continue to serve as the centrist alternative and would not run jointly with any other party, from the Right or the Left."
Gantz said he expected Labor-Gesher and the Democratic Union to "conduct themselves with the requisite responsibility and do the right thing."
"We will put together a governable, Zionist government that will stop the rifts and heal the schisms in Israeli society. A government that will put an end to the collapsing hospital emergency rooms. A government that will lead the necessary reforms to our school system. A government that will bring the residents of the south security and protect our borders. Israel needs a change. Israel needs to set out on a new path," Gantz said.
Gantz and Horowitz have agreed to work together to form a Knesset House Committee in the next government that would refrain from conferring immunity on anyone accused of serious counts of bribery, fraud, or breach of trust.
