A 55-year-old resident of Ashkelon has been arrested on suspicion of publishing a social media post that threatened to harm Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, his wife, and one of his sons.
The post was published Tuesday under the user name "Tzvika Sabag," a profile that was later revealed to be fake and was removed from Facebook.

After the post, which warned the Israel Police to "get ready to direct traffic toward the funerals of Benjamin, Sara, and Yair Netanyahu," the prime minister contacted acting Police Commissioner Moti Cohen and asked him to investigate the possible incitement to murder.
The Israel Police confirmed in a statement that "the prime minister contacted the acting police commissioner about a social media post that called to attack the prime minister and his family. The Lahav 433 Major Crimes Unit's cyber division has launched an investigation."
