Palestinian Soccer Federation President Jibril Rajoub announced on Thursday that Saudi Arabia's soccer team would play against the Palestinian national team in a game set to take place on Oct. 15 in the West Bank.
As yet unconfirmed by Saudi authorities, the scheduled match will mark a change in policy for the Persian Gulf state, which has previously played matches against the Palestinians in third countries.

The Saudi team is set to arrive in the West Bank on Oct. 13.
Also on Thursday, a Moroccan football team played in the Palestinian territories for the first time, with Raja Casablanca beating Palestinian team Hilal Al-Quds 2-0 in the Arab Champions Cup.
Arab clubs and national teams have historically refused to play in the West Bank, where the Palestinian national team plays, as it required them to apply for Israeli entry permits.
This was seen as breaching a decadeslong Arab boycott of the Jewish state.
But in recent years either clubs or national teams from Iraq, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain have all visited.
Others, including Egypt and Lebanon, still refuse.
