The IDF said on Monday evening that troops arrested a Palestinian man attempting to cross the Gaza security fence into Israel.
"A short time ago, IDF soldiers arrested a suspect crossing the security fence into Israeli territory from the Gaza Strip in the south," the army posted on Twitter. "The suspect was captured and found carrying a knife along with two bullets."

The IDF added that the suspect was taken to a nearby facility for questioning.
The incident marks the third time in a week that Palestinians have attempted to infiltrate Israel from the coastal enclave.
On Saturday, the IDF foiled a "very big terrorist attack" by killing "four fully-equipped combatants" who approached the security fence on the southern border.
In response to that incident, the army targeted a Hamas outpost in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, according to Sky News in Arabic.
Less than 24-hours later, IDF forces shot and killed Marwan Nasser, 25, after he opened fire on Israeli troops near the Gaza security fence.
The IDF said in a statement that Nasser had been wearing a green bandana associated with Hamas' military wing, the Izzedin al-Qassam Brigades.
"IDF spotters identified an armed terrorist approaching the security fence in the northern Gaza Strip," the IDF Spokesperson's Unit said. "The terrorist opened fire towards IDF troops. The troops, who were prepared for the event because of the spotters, engaged the terrorist."
