Israeli security forces on Saturday arrested two suspects believed to be involved in the murder of yeshiva student and military Cpl. Dvir Sorek last week, near Hebron.
The suspects were identified as brothers Nazir Saleh Khalil Atafra, 24, a Hamas operative, and Qasem Araf Khalil Atafra, 30, from the West Bank village of Bayt Kahil.

"Following a joint operation carried out by the Shin Bet, IDF and the Israel Police, the terrorists suspected to have perpetrated the attack north of Hebron, in which IDF Cpl. Dvir Sorek was murdered, were apprehended," the security agency said in a statement.
The IDF said that Israeli troops confiscated the vehicle the two "presumably used for the attack," adding that several clashes "involving approximately 100 Palestinians" broke out while Israeli authorities were making the arrests.
Dvir's father, Yoav Sorek, thanked security forces for apprehending the suspects, saying the family's only regret was that they were taken alive.
The body of 19-year-old Sorek was discovered overnight, Thursday, near the settlement of Migdal Oz, located between the cities of Bethlehem and Hebron. He had been stabbed multiple times.
Originally from Ofra, Sorek was a student at a Migdal Oz yeshiva as part of a special program combining religious studies and military service.
