Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), who has been accused of repeatedly using anti-Semitic language, announced Wednesday that she was going to Israel, days after introducing an anti-Israel measure in Congress.
Omar, who is Muslim, told the Jewish Insider on Wednesday that she would be joined by Palestinian-American Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.), with the tour focusing on the "occupation."

"I am going in a couple of weeks and so I'll learn more," Omar told Jewish Insider. "But truly, everything that I hear points to both sides feeling like there is still an occupation."
The BDS resolution Omar revealed on Tuesday is co-sponsored by Tlaib and Rep. John Lewis (D-GA). It affirms that "all Americans have the right to participate in boycotts in pursuit of civil and human rights at home and abroad, as protected by the First Amendment to the constitution."
In an interview published in Al-Monitor news on Tuesday, Omar said that the American values support "our ability to exercise our First Amendment rights in regard to boycotting."
The resolution itself reportedly does not mention the BDS movement, but it is clearly introduced with bypassing the Combating BDS Act that was approved in the Senate.
