Former US Permanent Representative to the United Nations Nikki Haley, who is the keynote speaker in Thursday's Israel Hayom Forum for US-Israel Relations, arrived in Israel on Wednesday and visited the Western Wall in Jerusalem.

As is customary, Haley placed a note in the cracks in the wall, presumably with a wish, and prayed. The wall, considered to be one of the holiest places in Judaism, was part of a much larger supporting wall for the Second Temple compound during ancient times.

Haley's arrival at the Western Wall Plaza's women section caused excitement among other visitors, who showered her with love due to her constant support for Israel as the US envoy at the United Nations.
During Ms. Haley's time as the US permanent representative to the United Nations between 2017 and 2019, the United States stood proudly with its allies, repeatedly taking a strong and principled stand against the chronic anti-Israel bias in the organization.
In the UN Security Council, she proudly issued the first American veto in six years defending the United States' sovereign right to move its embassy to Jerusalem.
Israel Hayom Editor-in-Chief Boaz Bismuth also celebrated Haley's arrival. "Haley is now at the Western Wall. Tomorrow she will be at our forum. Welcome to Israel," he tweeted.
