Israel expects to attend a US-led conference in Bahrain next week on proposals for boosting the Palestinian economy as part of a coming US peace plan, Foreign Minister Yisarel Katz said on Sunday.
The workshop, to be held June 25-26, is the official launch of the economic component of the Trump administration's "deal of the century" peace plan. It is likely to focus on means to boost the economic wellbeing of Palestinians and Israelis through regional projects funded by Arab states and the US.

"Israel will be at the Bahrain conference and all the coordinations will be made," Katz told Channel 13 News on the sidelines of the Jerusalem Post conference in New York.
Last week, Egypt, Morocco, and Jordan announced they planned to attend the "Peace to Prosperity Workshop" in Bahrain, a report that was confirmed by a White House official.
So far, the Palestinians are refusing to take part in the conference, a stance that has angered Jordan.
Amman officials have accused Abbas of mishandling the economic crisis plaguing the Palestinian Authority, which could in turn threaten the security and stability of the Hashemite Kingdom.
The Palestinians are calling for mass protests against the Bahrain summit. On Saturday, PA President Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah party said that PLO factions have called a general strike for June 25, when the Bahrain conference is scheduled to begin. The protests in the Palestinian territories are slated a day ahead.
The Palestinians have urged Arab countries to boycott the meeting, saying the entire plan ignores the two-state solution and deprives them of a future capital in east Jerusalem.
