Qatar pledged $480 million in support of Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza, Qatar's Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Monday.
Qatar allocated $300 million in grants and loans to support the Palestinian Authority's budget for the health and education sectors.
The other $180 million will go to urgent rescue and humanitarian support, as well as supporting the United Nations' programs in the West Bank and Gaza, and to support the electricity services to ensure various sectors of the Palestinian people have access to them.
The escalation between Palestinian factions in Gaza and Israel saw 27 Palestinians and four Israeli civilians killed with over 600 rockets fired from Gaza in the worst outbreak of violence since a 2014 war. The Strip has also been teetering on the brink of a humanitarian crisis.
Earlier on Monday, Israel said it would allow for the delivery of $30 million in cash to the Gaza Strip as part of a cease-fire agreement with Hamas, according to Kan, Israel's public broadcaster.
Several Hebrew media outlets cited a security source on Monday saying that the current cease-fire could collapse within days if the humanitarian situation isn't eased.
