Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ended the final day of campaigning on Monday with an appeal to voters, and God, arriving at the Western Wall and placing a note with a wish in one of the cracks, as is customary at the site.
He later tweeted a picture of himself praying at the wall, with the caption: "With God's help, and your help, we will succeed."

Netanyahu hopes his Likud party will once again defy the polls and emerge as the largest party in the Knesset. Current polling shows a neck-and-neck race with the center-left bloc Blue and White, headed by former IDF Chief of Staff Benny Gantz.
Even if Likud emerges as the second largest party, it still has the best shot at winning support from other parties and forming a government, but Netanyahu is worried that some right-wing allies will defect if Blue and White emerges with a sizable lead.
Netanyahu is set to become Israel's longest-serving prime minister this summer, and has recently told Israel Hayom that he planned to stay on the job "for many years."
