Israel's Mossad spy agency is continuing to enlist employees with disabilities into its ranks.
Several days ago, Israel's foreign intelligence service in conjunction with the Labor, Social Affairs and Social Services Ministry, held a special open house for people with disabilities and presented employment possibilities.
Dozens of candidates from across the country attended the event and spoke with representatives of the clandestine organization, and suitable candidates will now begin the various screening processes.
The Mossad already employs over 100 people with disabilities across all of its branches, including operational, technological, intelligence and administrative.
In recent years the Mossad has made a considerable effort to open its doors to previously untapped populations.
According to Mossad Director Yossi Cohen, the disabled population "is a blessing for the organization, their families and the people of Israel. The Mossad is doing a better job than before of offering equal opportunities to everyone."
Labor, Social Affairs and Social Services Minister Haim Katz said: "The glass ceiling is cracking as more and more people with disabilities are integrating as equals in a variety of organizations and positions. I'm especially proud of the employment campaign my ministry is promoting with the army and security agencies, which brings immense added value to all of us as a society."
