Supreme Court Justice David Mintz managed to escape on Monday morning after a group of Palestinian assailants reportedly attacked his vehicle on Route 463, near the settlement of Dolev in Judea and Samaria.
According the reports fielded by police, three attackers used their vehicle to block Mintz's car and proceeded to approach the justice's car, armed with hammers.
Ultimately, Mintz, who lives in Dolev, was able to flee the scene. It was unclear whether the suspects knew the driver's identity.
"The Mintz incident could have ended very differently," Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked said Monday, "and this illustrates the threat of terrorist attacks in Judea and Samaria. We need to confront them with an iron fist."
The number of terrorist attacks in Judea and Samaria has been on the rise recently. Last week, two Israelis were murdered at the Barkan industrial zone in Samaria. Despite an ongoing manhunt, the culprit has not yet been apprehended.
Last weekend, a reserve soldier was moderately wounded in a stabbing attack near the Shomron Regional Brigade army base, also in Samaria. The attacker was taken into custody several hours later.
