A minibus carrying a group of 25 Israeli tourists in Romania crashed on Sunday, resulting in 23 of them being injured. Although none of the injuries were severe, the passengers were taken to a local hospital for further examination and stayed there overnight.
The accident occurred as the minibus was making its way down to the well-known salt mine in Prahova County, a popular tourist destination for Israelis.
Israeli insurance agencies sent two doctors to the hospital to assist the local teams. The Israeli consul in Bucharest, Rina Dvir, also arrived at the hospital, and reported that "all of the injured are undergoing further checkups to make sure that they are in good condition."
She noted that most of the Israeli tourists are from northern Israel and were scheduled to return on Tuesday. "It is extremely important that Israelis have insurance when they come here, as this group had," she said.
