An IDF soldier has been arrested on suspicion of making and distributing leaflets encouraging hate crimes against Palestinians as a way of avenging the terrorist murder of Rabbi Raziel Shevach near the Samaria outpost of Havat Gilad last week, the IDF reported Tuesday.
After the leaflets, which feature the IDF logo, were discovered on an IDF base, the Military Police launched an investigation, which led them to the suspect.
The leaflets proclaim the reestablishment of a group whose purpose was avenging terrorist attacks.
Meanwhile, hundreds of women and children – including friends of Shevach's widow, Yael, marched in Tel Aviv on Tuesday, calling for increased security in Judea and Samaria. The marchers carried signs that read: "We don't want more widows and orphans" and "Harsh treatment for murderers."
The march ended with a speech by Adva Biton, whose daughter Adele was murdered in a rock-throwing attack. Biton called on Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to take a tough stance against terrorism.
Earlier Tuesday, the Shevach family completed the traditional seven-day mourning period and visited his grave site.
Shevach's father, Moshe, said at his son's grave: "With your strength, you are closer to the Creator today than any of us. Just like you succeeded down here, we have no doubt that you will succeed up there."
