A man from the central Israeli town of Raanana was indicted on Sunday for threatening to kill Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
According to the indictment, the suspect called 100, the police emergency hotline, and told the officer who responded: "I'm going to kill the prime minister, I hate him."
The man also allegedly said: "I've been planning it for a long time. If the prime minister dies, I killed him. Let there be no doubt."
The man was subsequently arrested and remanded in custody. His remand was extended indefinitely on Sunday, and he will undergo a psychiatric evaluation to determine whether he is aware of his actions and fit to stand to trial.
